1. Introduction

Habitori ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Habitori for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

Habitori operates entirely on your device and does not send any data to our servers. The app does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

3. Data You Create

When you use Habitori, the following information is stored locally on your device:

• Habits: Names, descriptions, colors, notes, reminders, and scheduling preferences
• Completions: Dates and times when you complete habits, optional notes and mood ratings
• Tasks: Task lists associated with your habits
• Stages: Milestone information and progress tracking
• Dismissals: Records of when you dismiss habits for specific days or weeks
• Earned Badges: Achievement records including the date earned and associated habit
• Settings: Your app preferences and configuration

All of this data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework in a local SQLite database on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: By default, all your data is stored locally on your iOS/iPadOS device in the app's secure container. On watchOS, data is stored in the Watch app's container and synced via Bluetooth to your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework.

App Group Storage: To enable data sharing between the iOS app and Apple Watch app, we use an App Group container. This is a secure iOS feature that allows apps from the same developer to share data on your device only.

Optional iCloud Sync: You may optionally enable iCloud sync in the app settings. When enabled:

• Your habit data is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's security standards
• Only you can access this data across your Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account
• We have no access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings

5. Permissions

Habitori may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send you habit reminders at scheduled times. You can customize notification settings in the app.
• iCloud: Only requested if you enable iCloud sync. Used to sync your data across your devices.

All permissions are optional. The app will function without them, though some features may be limited.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties.

Habitori does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media platforms. Your data stays entirely on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

7. Data Export and Deletion

• Export: You can export your habit data at any time from the app's settings in JSON format for backup purposes. The exported file includes all your habits, tasks, completions, dismissals, stages, and earned badges.
• Import: You can import previously exported data back into the app.
• Deletion: You can delete individual habits or all your data at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all local data. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can delete iCloud data by disabling sync and deleting the data from your device, or by managing your iCloud storage in iOS Settings.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you have iCloud sync enabled, your data will remain in your iCloud account even if you uninstall the app from a device, allowing you to restore it when you reinstall the app on any device signed in to the same iCloud account.

You can delete your data at any time through the app's settings, or by uninstalling the app (which deletes local data only). To delete iCloud data, disable iCloud sync in the app settings and then manage your iCloud storage through iOS Settings.

9. Third-Party Services

Habitori does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks for analytics, crash reporting, or advertising. The only Apple services used are:

• SwiftData/CoreData: For local data persistence
• CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync (only if you enable it)
• UserNotifications: For local notifications
• WatchConnectivity: For Apple Watch sync via Bluetooth

10. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: You can access your data at any time by exporting it from the app's settings
• Right to Deletion: You can delete your data at any time through the app's settings or by uninstalling the app
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your data in JSON format for use in other services
• Right to Opt-Out: You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings

11. Children's Privacy

Habitori is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is rated 17+ due to references to substance recovery support in habit templates.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Habitori ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Habitori for your personal, non-commercial use on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS devices that you own or control.

3. Description of Service

Habitori is a habit tracking application that helps you:

• Create and track daily, weekly, and custom interval habits
• Set reminders and receive notifications
• Monitor your progress with visual tracking tools
• Sync data across your devices using optional iCloud sync
• Use pre-built templates for various habit categories

If you have medical concerns, substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or any health-related issues, please consult with qualified healthcare professionals. In case of medical emergencies, contact emergency services immediately (911 in the US).

The recovery support templates (such as those for alcohol, nicotine, or other substances) are tracking tools only and are not medical treatment programs.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account
• The accuracy and completeness of any information you enter into the App
• Any decisions you make based on information tracked in the App
• Backing up your data using the export feature if desired
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations when using the App

6. Availability and Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue the App or any features at any time
• Change these Terms at any time with notice through the App or this page

The App is provided "as-is" and we do not guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted at all times.

7. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync:

• You must have a valid iCloud account with sufficient storage space
• Sync functionality depends on Apple's iCloud service availability
• We are not responsible for any issues with iCloud sync, data conflicts, or data loss
• You should regularly export your data as a backup

The App will continue to function in local-only mode if iCloud is unavailable or disabled.

8. Intellectual Property

Habitori and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or reverse engineer the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any)

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Habitori and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your devices.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the European Union, you retain all rights granted under applicable EU consumer protection laws.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Habitori regarding the use of the App.
